Photos Side by Side in Posts
-
Hi, I’m new to the wordpress community and trying to post my first story. I’m putting up photos from a wedding I took and In the layout I have photos (2 or 3) side by side but when I preview it, the layout is one photo under one photo (not side by side like I had put them in the layout). Any idea how to make photos side by side as opposed to one photo under one photo under one photo?
I can send screen shots if that doesn’t make sense. Help is very appreciated! Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi alyshayoderphoto,
Without seeing exactly what you mean I’m guessing that the two or three images side by side might be too wide for the content area on your site.
There are a few options I could suggest. The first one would be to have a look at Galleries. They are an excellent way of adding images to posts or pages.
The other you could resize your images so they are smaller and might fit better in the area.
You can also resize them in the editor by clicking the image and then dragging the sides to make them smaller.
Let me know if this helps.

Hi sandymcfadden,
I’ll try out the galleries. I have resized them a million ways and they only take up like 1/3rd of the page now and they still are scrolling down singularly instead of in diptychs or triptychs. I resized them by hand first and then thought maybe it was uneven so I went through and entered all the sizes by hand in the ‘edit image’ window. Still didn’t work. Thanks for your help!

For side by side display you need to know what the maximum displayed image width is for the theme http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/photographer/
Then you resize the images, and lastly you need to see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/image-alignment/#side-by-sideNote that all premium themes have their own support forums.
