Photos that grow BIG

    When I insert a photo into a post in the editing mode, then hit Preview, I see the preview, of course. For about 3 seconds, the photo is the correct size. Then, bam! it becomes bigger! Same thing happens when I publish the post. If I go back to media to downsize the photo, reducing the percentage, it is smaller in the Preview for a couple of seconds, then gets bigger again. What’s up with this? Thanks.

    Thanks for getting back to me, but I don’t see what screen shots would do. The problem is an action that takes place in an instant. Photo size I want, boom, bigger photo. The only thing I could do is send you screen shots of each size photo. How would that help?

    Hi Felipe – The issue is that I can’t see on my end what you see on yours. Screenshots help us see exactly where you are, what you’re doing, and what’s happening, so that we can try to reproduce it in the same way as you.

    Also – it looks like you typically insert your images at full size and then drag them down to thumbnail size. Rather than doing that, try selecting thumbnail here when you first upload them:

    You can control exactly how large thumbnail images are by setting the sizes in your Settings->Media here:

    On first inserting photos, I don’t see where I get the chance to size it at the get-go. The box you refer to with your first link shows up only after I have downloaded the photo. Then it gives me the chance to choose the size.

    However, I think your second link may have solved it, from what I see so far. Thinking back, I believe I had a similar problem last time I switched themes. I recently switched themes. I just adjusted the sizes in the media section.

    Hi Felipe – Perfect! To clarify, when you first upload a photo from your post page, you should see that option, as in steps 3-4 here:
