@polloplayer….you can download a free copy of Mozilla (Firefox) and then open your blog from that browser. I just did and my pictures are posting correctly again….but I find IE easier to use with Word Press so I hope this is fixed soon.

Actually it’s Firefox that’s recommended for WordPress and not IE. IE has so many issues that many of us would like to see Microsoft dump it completely.

Although I’m able to post my pics with Firefox, IE is much easier to use in Word Press (and I’m not a Microsoft fan).

I’ve occasionally had that problem and had a similar one: once i’ve inserted photos into a post I can’t then add spaces in between to put text in. I used to be able to but not recently. I use Google Chrome.

It’s the Easter long weekend so if you are solution orientated I suggest you all try Firefox. These threads are monitored but as for expecting Staff to respond here and to sort this right away is not likely to happen. I could be wrong but I surmise that any response will be to the effect of …

I’m sorry I was not clear enough previously. I’m so sorry but we Volunteers cannot help you and continuing to bump this thread will not result in a magical solution to the issue, which is no longer affecting your ability to blog. :( You are in fact using Firefox successfully and that means you are doing better than those who cannot even log-in.

I’m having the same problem. I’ve found a temporary solution
1. Post the pic in Text editor.
2. Switch to HTML editor and copy the code for the pic
3. Paste it where you want it (In HTML)
4. Save
5. Switch back to Text Editor and delete the pic on the top of the post.Annoying, but it works.

What I notice is that many who post into forum threads do not actually read what’s gone before. They simply post that they have the same problem. -

I have the same problem and reported it to staff. Just had an exchange with a staff person who asked me to try editing my blog on Mozilla Firefox to determine if the problem is exclusively related to Internet Explorer users. I did so and discovered that I could edit the blog on Firefox without any problems so the problem is related to Internet Explorer. Staff is working to resolve the problem.

@timethief Not reading what others post in a thread defeats the purpose of a forum. Especially if looking for information on how to fix a problem. I don’t understand people sometimes. :-)

I am also having these issues of the photos always inserted to the top, using IE8.

Hi guys, we’re looking into these reports. The trouble with inserting images seems to be limited to Internet Explorer, so using Firefox or Chrome is a good workaround while we work out what’s causing the problem in IE.
We’ll keep you posted on progress.

timethief, I think people post that they are having the same problem simply to show the scope of the problem, to show WordPress that it’s not just one or two people having the difficulty.
