My site says PHP Update required. The Godaddy hosting says that this version is too old to update PHP. I don’t have a clue about any of it! Help!

Since on WordPress.com we take care of that for you, I’m afraid that your site is not hosted with us. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with GoDaddy.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so we can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
