PHP Function or Widget?

    Hello,

    I was wondering what is the best way to go about this little problem I am having. I’m looking for a plugin or a way to code in a function some that when content is updated in one spot it changes through out the site.

    Example:

    Say I have a phone number that may change in the future and I want the ability to just change it once instead of going through each post, page etc.

    Does anyone have a solution to this?

    I know of a plugin that allows you to get a specific post and the content from that post, but I am looking to just pull a specific word or number.
