PHP Update Needed for Plugin – Local/Remote

  • Unknown's avatar

Hello! I used a localhost server to create a wordpress site and I used elementor to build my pages and everything works fine and perfectly.

Then, I received a link for a wordpress from someone else to help them edit their site. However, when I tried to use Elementor, it says “Elementor requires PHP version 5.4+, plugin is currently NOT ACTIVE.”

Since Elementor works fine on my own local site, I believe this is something wrong with the other party’s PHP? Does this mean I /have/ to ask them to update their PHP or is there something I can do from my end to get it updated/working?

    Thank you!

    Hi kwavetest,
From your description, it seems you are needing help with a Self Hosted WordPress site. From the problem you describe you could get your solution from the threads in the Elementor Plugin here:
    https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/elementor/
You could look for a similar thread or post a new thread, surely someone would help you out soon.

This forum is just for WordPress.com folks, to know the difference have a look here: WordPress Com vs WordPress ORG

Best wishes to get the solution soon.
