PHP versions

  Our website huntingboar.org (2014 theme) apparently uses PHP 5.4.
  We want to migrate the site to the new cloud business plan from Hostgator. It uses PHP 5.6 or 7 and not PHP 5.4.

  How can I upgrade the php version quickly and easily without doing damage to the active site? Can 5.4 run on the Hostgator cloud platform, please.

  I appreciate a timely response since we are holding any further action.

  huntingboar.org is hosted by Unified Layer, not by wordpress.COM

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
