Picque theme headers

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

I am able to change the image for the header on the home page, but how do I change the image for the header on the about and contact pages?

    Thank you,
    Jess

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Open WordPress.com Customizer https://wordpress.com/customize and click on the “Header image” section on the left. Choose a new one from the list shown there, or upload an image of your choice.

Does it clarify things for you? Feel free to get back if you have questions.

Thank you for your input. That is what I was trying, but it only changed the Home image even when I was on on of the other pages. Am I able to change the picture for the other pages?

Hi jessbehappycom, see if there’s any option related to set featured image, background image, or header image, in the sidebar or anywhere around when you edit the pages individually.

If so, set the image and your changes should be reflected right away.

Let me know if that worked.

    Hi theakshaydhiman,

I looked and found settings for the background, but this again changed the image on the Home page and not on the page I was working on. The about and contact pages continue to have the default pictures.

Hi I am trying to use the Dara theme. When I select it, it places my header image on top of the menu bar as opposed to underneath as I would like it and it doesn’t give the option of having squares underneath the menu bar for the “about, contact” etc. model they have on the sample. Instead it has a blog style set up that is linear and yet I’m on the homepage. I want it to look like the example. Please support.

jessbehappycom, here’s how to change the image:

    • Go to the Site Pages and click the page to edit.
    • On the Page Settings (right hand side), you’ll find an option to “Set Featured Image.”
    • Set the featured image and click the “Update” button to save the changes.

You should now see the changes reflected on that page.

Let me know if that worked.

    Hi alientodevida735,

When you first activate Dara, your homepage will display posts in a traditional blog format unlike the demo site, which uses a static front page. If you would like to copy the look of the demo site, follow the steps as shown in this page.

    Hope it helps.

And from the next time, please start your own new forum thread, so that we can focus on one issue at a time.
