Pics in subscriber email WAY too huge

One of my subscribers contacted me and forwarded me the email they received from my post. The pictures in the post were HUGE. She is wondering why it is doing that but I have no idea. I checked with friends who subscribe and they seem to be viewing my posts just fine via email. Could it be the email she uses through her internet provider? I have a feeling there isn’t much I can tell her other than to suggest she read the posts on the site rather than her inbox.

ItYes that could be the case. Every email client is different. Some display images and videos and some don’t.
What I do is go here > Settings > Reading and choose the RSS Syndication feed choice “summary”. That way the readers only get a “teaser” text and have to click into the blog to read the post and view the images.

Thank you! I have been wondering how to change the email setting from full post to just a summary. Now all of my email subscribers will have to visit the site and I will see a stat increase.

Also much kinder to the inbox of your subscribers and you have full control of the formatting of your Posts if they are viewed on your blog.
