Pics in the banner

I’m new, so apologies (and thanks) in advance.
I would like to have, in the banner of my site, a small image off set to the right side (link: http://milesquareblues.com/). What I really would like is to have a random image from a directory of photos I’ll upload at a later date.
I believe the template I’m using is fixed-width, which I suspect means I can’t use a small image, but instead I can only use an image that will stretch across the banner, which I don’t really want to do. Or, I suppose I could make copies of the banner, each one with a different pic stuck onto it the way I’m envisioning (I’ve looked at the style sheet and I see that the banner is just a jpg, so presumably I can edit it and resave it) – I’m sure I can just drop a pic on the banner jpg in photoshop.
Anyway, so to be succinct: 1) can I have a random image in the upper right corner of my banner, and if so, how (I’m using GRAND photo gallery as the photo plug in); and 2) if I somehow edit the banner jpg and make several copies, each with a different pic in the corner, is there a mechanism by which the CSS will randomly pic one.
