Pictorico – big black band
-
I like the Pictorico theme, but there is a big black band that is above the images that I would like to remove, but can’t find out how.
This problem was described in another forum post here

which says it was fixed, but I just downloaded it new today, so I’m not sure what’s going on.This is for:

Hi there,
If you download it from the theme’s page (http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/pictorico/), I’m pretty sure that the download link there is not updated yet.
WordPress.com has the latest version of the theme here: https://wpcom-themes.svn.automattic.com/pictorico/ but without a changelog it’s hard to see where the change is.
But! I did a bit of checking and it seems like the fix is available in the header.php file (https://wpcom-themes.svn.automattic.com/pictorico/header.php). So what I’d suggest is:
- Make a backup of the header.php file in your site
- Save the header.php from SVN: https://wpcom-themes.svn.automattic.com/pictorico/header.php
- Upload it to your site
- Problem fixed (hopefully)
Finally, we don’t really give support to self-hosted WordPress installs here, but I was curious and decided to check. In the future, you might want to ask around the WordPress.org support forum instead: http://wordpress.org/support/ They’ll probably be even more helpful too with custom coding and the likes.

Thanks very much for taking the time, very kind of you. I didn’t realize the distinction between wordpress.com and .org. I will see if this works and thanks again.
