Pictorico – gallery only fills part of a row
-
i was creating a gallery in a page in Pictorico
i specified a 2-column gallery in and it skips a column every few rows on the thumbnail displayin other words, you get a blank cell every now and then where a pic should be
anyone know why this happens?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m going to mark this for staff assistance. I’ve poked at it for a half-hour or so and come up completely dry.
Could you try one thing for me while we wait for an assist? What happens when you put the images in a different order? I’m curious to see if the gaps are connected to the spot in the gallery or their proximity to specific images.
Thanks!

i tried the different order trick and it did not work. spaces always seem to come on the left column, for some reason. thx!

awaiting patiently for tech support to give me a clue on how to fix this problem. i tried an HTML table workaround solution, but it is very time consuming to hand create these, given the sheer number of images involved on the site!

still waiting… 6 days later. so the upshot is I cannot use this theme to have normal gallery display of pics with thumbnails unless I accept that there will be emty cells in the leftmost column in a two-colum layout.
will continue to wait, as i have tried various workarounds which did not solve anything. i ended up writing a custom multicolumn image table with an elevator to do the job.

6 days is too long a wait for a response. I now “officially” consider Pictorico a flawed,, buggy theme, but that WP has not flagged it as such. I have implemented a workaround to this particular problem using tables & custom CSS. I shall now search for another theme that has been more thoroughly unit tested, (Pictorico also has major issues re Responsive Design, unless my added CSS is affecting things in that regard), unless I decide to design my own theme.

Please don’t bump your own threads. We reply to threads from oldest to newest, and every time you reply, you bump the age too. For example, this formerly 6-day-old thread is actually now a 3-hour-old thread.
Clever work on the work-around though, well done! :)
