Pictorico: reposition featured images
-
Hello,
I am using the Pictorico theme and when I use the Featured Images to create the home page, some of the images look perfect but others I don’t like how they are positioned as perhaps something in the picture gets cut off, etc. Is there a way to reposition the images?
Also, for some posts, when I click on the image on the home page and it brings me to the related post, the large image at the top of the post will be positioned poorly, leaving out parts of the image that I would like to show, for example, this one is positioned so that i can only see the model’s chin. Is it because the image is too large?:

Any help would be great.

Hi @lisalafab1970, the featured header images on Pictorico, are landscape in proportion, and on the post you reference, that image is portrait in proportion. The Theme will crop the image as it needs to so it can display it in the area available, and it crops, or creates its viewport from the middle. If you widen and narrow your browser window while on that page, you will see that the center point of the viewport corresponds to the vertical center of the image.
My suggestion, is to keep that in mind when preparing the images to be used as featured images and crop them into portrait proportions (width greater than height) and make sure they are at least 1180px in width (recommended minimum width).
