picture appears as independent post

I have a post about flamenco. It is nearly 3 years old, and one (or more?) of its pictures is getting hits and opens up as an independent post at
http://espliego.wordpress.com/2011/03/18/flamenco-dance/flamenco-dancer-flickr-k-girl/#comment-4495.
I would like to know why that is.

Every image in your Media Library has two available URLs regardless of which one you choose to use in your post: the direct image URL and an attachment page URL. What you are looking at is the attachment page. You can even see that you can scroll through the images in your flamenco post via the thumbnails at the bottom of that page.

I see. This would mean that any image can appear as independent post.
The problem is that in my original post I put in a small thumbnail, in the hope that the copyright problem would thereby also be smaller, since I could not find the origine of the photo.
However, on the independent post the picture appeared full-size. And since it is such apretty picture, I hate the idea of deleting it, especially after having spent nearly two hours this morning trying to find the author.

please help. on my main page I can see the picture that attach with each post. But every time I click on each post to give me a new page, the picture wont be there. if a post comes with a picture and video, by the time i click on the post to give me a new page, the video only appear. the picture wont show on the post.
