    I’ve heard bad reports from IE users. Normally I don’t recommend this, but can you use another browser like Firefox?

  • Unknown's avatar

    No I can’t
    I have tried to refresh the screen (ctrl f5) and then the text box come up with if you continue you will lose everything. so i continue and the import picture is lost, but my previous work is still save.

    I have tried a thumbnail just don’t care what size photo just want a photo up for the news report and that won’t work get the same problem.

    I even turn off the firewall hoping that it might clear itself but just still looks at me.

    thanks,

    Log out again, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart IE and then log back in and before you do anything other than logging in, set your browser to compatibility view (if it is not on) or off of compatibility view (if it is on) and see if that helps. IE8, because MS tried to do things both their way, and the web standards way, is a pain.

    Also, is this the site you are talking about http://dannewsdisability.wordpress.com/ ?

    a) Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.
    b) IE continues to ignore various web standards: stick with it if you like having problems.

    That the same site;

    What I did was hit F7 turn on the function hit the key to hover the trash button then hit enter then the post went to the trash, then I recover the post then copy the feature photo lower right hand page pasted into the post now i’m able to publish it.

    I will now log out turn on the compatibliity mode like you had sugguest.

    You are welcome and I’ll keep my fingers crossed that something we have suggested will work for you.

    Just right at 2 am i hit the publish key now it saying that i had publish like 20 minutes early than i hit the publish key I had check the time zone setting and they match my computer settings. I know that wordpress is working the system but something is fishey.

    thanks,

    The issues you have been having earlier could have kinked up the publishing time.

    Do a test post and publish it and see if it has the right timestamp. Then you can quickly turn that post back into a draft before the search engines grab it.

    I just publish another post it had the right publishing time;

    I still can’t get the Picture box to close even in capbility mode.

    What I had to do now is cut and paste from the media section. It does not look good as I want but will have to live with it I guess.

    thanks for everybody’s help

    There isn’t a little close button (X) at the top right of the image insert window? Have you tried clicking that (requisite stupid question on my part).

  • Unknown's avatar

    thesacredpath;

    I have learned growing up that the only stupid question is the one that was not ask.

    Yes, that was what I was clicking on and nothing happens. I was at the point of taking the computer and throwing it out the window into the snow bank, but since it was snowing and the window was not open it mean that it would start snowing inside and that would not be good thing.

    Thanks,
