Picture caption contains additional links unseen by the blog writer

The blog post this week at http://noparticularplacetogo.net/2014/08/16/panama-pictures-and-panoramas/ shows up as intended in a gallery format when the post is accessed from the http of blog link. However, the post that our followers received as an EMAIL shows photos that are not in the gallery format and contain the caption (in black) surrounded by red text with several lines of link/url/gibberish info. I can forward the email that I received to illustrate the problem if you need.
We downloaded ALL the photos for this post from our dropbox account (which we have occasionally done in the past with no problem). Usually the photos are uploaded to wordpress directly from our computer picture folder but the other wrinkle to our problem was that we working with a new computer and windows 8 for the 1st time (ARRGH!) usuing a hotel wi-fi link. When we have used the gallery picture format on previous posts on our old computer with windows 7 and working with pictures uploaded from both the computer picture folder and our dropbox photos this problem did not occur.
Your team has been awesome in the past with solving problems and I’m looking forward to your suggestions about what to do so that this problem doesn’t occur when we post on Saturday. Thanks, Anita (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    Hi Anita!

Can you forward the email to the following address so I can take a look?

    help@wordpress.com

Let me know once you’ve sent it!

Hi Jeremey, Had trouble getting the subscriber/follower post to forward but finally copied and pasted it so hopefully you’ll be able to see the problem. Both my sister and her husband follow the blog and the post was totally messed up on both their laptops, a tablet and phone. However, the blog looks fine when accessed using the url … ???
Thanks for checking this out as I’d like to get this fixed before we post again! Anita (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    Hi Anita!

Thanks for sending that email copy over. Just to confirm, did your email subscribers forward this issue on to you or did this only occur with your Live email? Also, if you view the email in a third-party app (like Outlook, Mail on an iPhone, etc), does the email appear the same?

I’m trying to figure out if this is an issue with the particular mail client or something larger.

    Hi Jeremy,
The post that I forwarded to you appeared like that on both my sister’s and husbands laptops. They are subscribed to the email follow service and use aol for their email. I wrote another subscriber who said the post appeared ok to her. My husband received the post in his email (live.com) and it showed the photos in a grid rather than the gallery format that I had configured and showed in the blog post. The photos were correctly captioned and there were no url links or other giberrish under the pics. Go figure….? Thanks for looking at this issue. Nita

    Hi Nita!

The fact that another subscribed wrote back saying the post appeared fine to her seems to point to this being a provider-specific issue.

When you mention that the email appeared like that on both your sister’s and husband’s laptops, are you checking the email under AOL.com or using a third-party program like Outlook?

I’m just wondering if this is an issue with how the email renders in the AOL inbox (appears fine when viewed through Outlook) or how AOL is receiving the email (would look weird regardless of where it’s viewed).

Hi Jeremy. Sorry to drop the ball and follow up your question regarding the photo issue and unseen text but we took a break from the blog for a couple of weeks as we were putting a lot of miles on the road. We plan to post again Saturday and I will advise you if the problem happens again. Thanks for checking into this issue and we’ll hope it was a one-time glitch… Crossing our fingers… Anita
