Picture captions cutting off in gallery slideshow

  I set up some slideshows of photos, but some of the captions are either cutting off or extending beyond the borders of the pictures. Is there anyway to increase the border size to accommodate longer captions? I am using the Twenty Eleven theme.

  Alternatively, is there a way to easily show a longer description near the photo (with a short caption)?
