Do you mean this “About.me” widget? http://about.me/michelle
You can remove any widget here > Appearance > Widgets
click the widget and when it opens click “delete”. -
Please respond to my question regarding an image that appeared on my blog that I want removed. It is a picture of someone named michelle? I have no idea why it is there.

I did respond 4 minutes after you posted. It took me that long to search foryou and find these:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/about-me-is-about-someone-else?replies=4
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/aboutme-thumbnail?replies=7#post-981709Then I flagged the thread for Staff attention.
Note: It takes 12 – 24 hours to get a first response on any other blogging support forum but we Volunteers here do better than that.

When you go here > Appearance > Widgets do you locate that widget or not?
If it is there then please try to delete it as I described above. -
Is there a way I can talk to someone via the phone? I am really new at this and could use some audio help to navigate word press. I

You’ve been answered several times within just a few minutes on two threads. Not sure what the urgency is here.

@compassionmn
This is a peer support forum. Here Volunteers and Staff work cooperatively to deliver support. Here Volunteers answer most questions and Staff monitor. When Volunteers cannot provide the required support we flag threads for Staff attention. That has been done. What’s required is your cooperation. Please answer my question:When you go here > Appearance > Widgets do you locate that widget or not?
If it is there then please try to delete it as I described above. -
Above my pay-grade – but it looks like some Facebook or something – are you sure you spelled the info input into the data field correctly – also all Widgets can be deleted following the guides from @TT – yelling in the forum wanting someone else to fix things when you are not willing to follow helpful instructions is not helpful – what would you tell your clients if they behaved like you are?
-
Didn’t know I was yelling. I am very inept and new at this and not knowing what I am doing. Think I clicked to many times to fast. Totally operator error on my part. Confusion and frustration, but in no way wanted to communicate yelling. Sorry about that. Chalk it up to my impatience. I did remove the widget and the picture went away. Yeah problem solved. Thanks for everyone helping. Whew!!

Hooray! I’m so glad you were able to delete it. It’s never easy being new. ;)
On the bottom of your Admin page you will find a link to the step by step Learn WordPress.com blogging Tutorial prepared by Staff. http://learn.wordpress.com/
The support documentation is all found at the Support link http://en.support.wordpress.com which is also on the bottom of your Admin page. The searchblox there provides results from both the documentation and from support forum threads like this one.

Thank you for your patience with me. It just seems that learning this takes so much time. I have watched the tutorial, but maybe I will watch it again. :) Probably, I need to watch it again.
Huge Blessings sent to you!!! Have a great day. -
You’re welcome.
Learning does take time and what we frequently experience on this support forum is that expectations of instant knowledge transfer can lead to frustration and anger. Our access to technology has led many to believe that if they need to learn by phone. In fact many appear to have cell phones permanently fixed to their skulls. The truth is that if one cannot read well and does not have good reading comprehension and retentions skills they will not succeed as bloggers. In order to master use of the software one must become very familiar with support documentation.
We humans learn best by doing and that’s why I recommend that every blogger has a private test blog. One can start the learning process by trying everything out there first. When they have “go it!” they can then do the same in their main blog. As time progresses and as content is published on the main blog, one can then export a copy of that content out of the main blog and import it into the test blog. The result is a mirror blog that can be used to privately try out new ideas, themes, widgets, etc. and if one continues to periodically export and import content, then one has a backup blog.
