Picture in post gets contrast change when shown in blog preview

Hi,
I use the function so that tha picture i use in a blogpost, is automatically shown on my homepage as preview. Now sometimes this picture is shown black(ish) while the picture is white, or vice versa. How come and how can i fix this?

Can you add a screen shot of what you’ve described in your media library on sportsrecapcenter.wordpress.com? This way I can see what you’re seeing.
When I view the site there is a gray hover highlighter over those featured images. Is this what you’re referring to?

Yes the featured image on the site has some dark gray thing over it. While in the post, it’s just white. See the example link for what it should look like. This image INSIDE the post is what it should look like, it’s the featured image on my main page that sometimes gets changed

Right. The gray highlight from the post page, when you hover over a featured image, is by design. This is an expected behavior from the theme. The only way to remove it would be to upgrade to the premium plan and use CSS to remove the hover effect.

Is this the only post that has been affected by the black hover versus the normal gray one? What happens if you add another post?

I have had it once before but changed the picture. In this case all the pictures I tried were blackish (different versions of thesame picture) so I just took a picture that had more colour and that was fine then.
And it’s not so much as a black hover, it’s like that even when there isn’t a cursor on top of it. It’s more like a negative is taken from the original picture.
