Picture on Paint
-
Ok I know I’ve been posting too much, sorry everyone but this is about something different. I need to make the image smaller to fit in my sidebar. So I took a screenshot and put it on Paint. I cropped it down, and now look at my page. The picture thta I croppped down for my sidebar is full of white, except the little “Newspaper” icon I took a screenshot of. Does anyone know how to make it smaller? Look at my sidebar and see what I mean.

I would never edit images on Paint. The result is always horrible. Use Adobe Photoshop or Corel Photopaint.

Yup, that’s a mess. I don’t know what you did there but delete it. Take out ALL of the contents of that text widget and start over.
Here is a trick to write text widgets easily: write them as Draft posts. That way you can change the image size, add links, whatever, without worrying about using code. Then, when it’s just how you want it to be, you click to the HTML editor (code tab) and copy ALL of the code in there. Then you put that code in your text widget.

you also can use this free open source program
that’s a alternative to photoshop, it’s called
Gimp, http://gimp.orgTeck
