Picture removed from my blog, still continue being showed in internet.
-
I have removed a picture from one post here: https://maximovspierrerobinsequence.wordpress.com/2012/08/24/quinta-semana-parte-2/, however the picture still continue being showed in Google results., and even more, you can open it with this link: https://maximovspierrerobinsequence.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/mc3a1ximo-11.jpg. Any idea what to do to remove the trace of the picture completely from Google ? I have tried to solve it by contacting Google directly, but they refused my request informing that I should contact the webmaster where is located the image. However; I am actually the webmaster. It does not have any sense. Note that with rest of pictures that I have deleted from my blog, when you find the ‘image cache’ on the internet, and you try to open some picture, you receive a message as ‘file not found’. This is actually what should happen and what in fact I want to happen with all the pictures I have removed. However it does not happen with this image. Can anyone help me on this ?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello arturo1dream
Although you removed the image from your post, it is still on your Media Library
please follow the instructions on the Media Library »Deleting Files support page to delete your image for good!
The link to your media library is: https://maximovspierrerobinsequence.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.php
hope that helps!

Thank you very much for your answer. Unfortunately for me, that was not the reason. The second thing I did after deleting the image from my post was to access to my media library and removed permanently the image. I have checked once more, in order to verify that there were not duplicate files for this image in my media library, but the image not longer exist. However the main concern for me is that the image continue to appear on Google search, but under a different link which is : https://maximovspierrerobinsequence.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/mc3a1ximo-11.jpg
Keeping in mind that the image is removed, the normal would be that when the image to be clicked, it appeared a message with the text “file not found”, as it is happening with the rest of images I deleted from the same blog.
There is not way for me to access to this part of my blog to erase this content.
If you finally reach a solution please let me know.
Thank you again for your support and kind regards

I get a 404 page not found https://maximovspierrerobinsequence.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/mc3a1ximo-11.jpg
I suggest you clear your browser cache please https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache -
I cleared my cache and erased all the history. I also used CCleaner to be sure that no traces were left. However the problem still continued.
In the end, I accessed to this URL: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/url-removal
and I managed to ask this link to be removed for being indexed by google search results. Now the image is not shown when you make a search, unless that you know the exact link address. This is not what I wished because I wanted that image removed, but is the only I could achieve. I tried a search with yahoo and although you still can see the “cache image” as a small preview, you receive an error notification when you click it as it not longer exist, so in my opinion the problem was actually in Google search and the way their “robots” as they call them, were keeping the image available. Thanks anyway to all of you for trying to help me. Kind regards. -
Hello
I still can see the image when accessing the direct link, I don’t get a 404 as timethief, but I’m pretty sure you can erase it from your Media Library.
You can try to search for the file using its name (mc3a1ximo-11). Please go to your admin area, and under Dashboard click on Omnisearch. Here you will have a full search for everything in your blog that has the image. Insert the image name and check if the file is there somewhere then delete it.
The direct link for your Omnisearch is: https://pedgertestarea.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=omnisearch
Please get back to us to tell if it worked

ops. the link stated is wrong, its for my Test Blog.
Here’s the correct link to your Omnisearch:
https://maximovspierrerobinsequence.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=omnisearch

I’ve tried again to locate the image using the Omnisearch as suggested, but there were not results for this image, so aparently the file does not exist on my media library. It is true that if you access the link, the image can be seen, but at least it is not indexed anymore by Google when you make a search.
If you would think on something different as possible solution, please let me know.
It is good to know that there are people willing to help.
Thank you -
You’re welcome! It’s nice to help.
I tagged this topic so staff can take a look into this matter, let’s wait for their response. I still think that there’s something that can be done to erase that image completely!
cheers

Hi there,
After you delete an image or other media file from your media library, it can take a little time for that file to be completely removed from all of the WordPress.com servers and from Google’s search results. I just checked the link https://maximovspierrerobinsequence.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/mc3a1ximo-11.jpg and I see a 404 message indicating that the image is no longer available. If you still see the image at that link, please wait a little longer for the image to be completely removed.

Yes, you are right !
Finally the image has been removed and is not longer available.
I just can say thanks for all the assistance given. I appreciate it very much.
