I want to post several pictures. They are all sizes. I know there is a way to set them all to a size that would help with the upload time. Someone mentioned a plug-in. Any help, please

  • Hi there,

Resizing images need to be done on your computer, before you upload them to your site. You can do this using the photo viewers built into Windows and MacOS, or you can use image editing software like Photoshop or Gimp.

I’m sure there’s plugins that also let you do this as you upload the images to your site, but it’s generally more efficient to do this offline.

When it comes to posting them on your site, the size doesn’t matter all that much, though. If you want all images to be the same size, you just set them to the same size when you add their image blocks in the editor, or you use the gallery block to insert multiple images, and they’ll display at the same size by default. Resizing images before upload is more to conserve storage space on your server, than about how the images will appear on the site itself.

That said, your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider.

Please ask the WordPress.org community for more advice on this. They provide support for the version of WordPress you’re using:
