  how can i reduce the size of the pictures; especially the vertical pics

  Hi there,

  Visit My Sites > Media >
  Choose Classic View from the top right option > select the image > click on it and the edit image option will be there.
  You can reduce the size of the image using this option.

  Hi there,

  The steps provided above are for resizing the image files themselves, that are stored in your media library. Note that editing images in the library reduces your media storage, as both the original and the edited version will be saved in the media library.

  If you meant you want to control the size of an image after you insert it into your post, you can do that by dragging the edges of the image block, or using the Size controls in the block sidebar in the editor.
