  Every time I try to add an image, I get an HTTP error message. It won’t add to my gallery. I’ve tried several different images, even images that are already loaded. Not sure why I keep getting an error message.

  Are you using the New Post button here https://wordpress.com/post/ or the post editor in the main dashboard to create posts? You should use the dashboard’s post editor as the New Post button is currently undergoing some changes and is not reliable at present. See here to insert images using the Add Media button in the post editor: http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/adding-images-to-posts-or-pages/

  If you’ve been doing that it could be a browser issue. Clear your browser’s cache and cookies and see if that fixes it. You can also check whether you get the same error in a different browser: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

  Thank you @kokkieh, I tried that and it worked. So I’ll just load images from the dashboard instead of in the post itself.

  Yes, avoid the New Post button for the time being. It has also caused people to completely lose their posts. Stick with the post editor in the dashboard and insert images from there.
