I am trying to add a picture as a widget to my sidebar, but I don’t know what size to make the picture for it to fit correctly. As of right now, the picture I uploaded is only showing the left portion of the picture :(. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If I were you I’d make it 30 px wide, to be on the safe side. A more techie user may step in and tell you the exact dimensions of the widget, but ALWAYS optimize for the web first ie do not upload pictures the original size and resolution, or your blog will load so slowly you’ll lose many readers.

The width of the sidebar is 200px.
If someone else has a similar question, here is a list of sidebar widths for all wp.com themes:

When reducing an image that much, a lot of detail is going to be lost, no matter what. If, while reducing it, you have the ability to choose type of resampling in your image editing program, choose “bicubic sharper” but even with that, it’s going to be fuzzy.
