  Can I add images that are not part of a post? I had in mind that my page would consist mostly of pictures. I could add each one in separate posts I guess. Is that the only way? I tried the background and didn’t like that effect at all.

  There are some themes that have specially-formatted Image posts, so why don’t you play around with some of those?

  Have you see the information on creating a gallery on a post or page? I also rely on this excellent site for gallery issues and information.
