I’ve uploaded some pictures, but I’m not able to see them in my blog. Why?

And please give us a link to your blog and might I suggest linking your username to your blog URL as outlined in the sticky post at the top of the forum called 8 things…

I can’t find the option for actually *inserting* the pictures I’ve uploaded. The new format (haven’t used my personal blog in a bit) is confusing me tremendously. I’ve uploaded pictures and I see them in my media library but every time I try to insert one into a post the cursor turns into one of those resizing things and the only options are to edit the captions for the image itself, delete it, or upload another image. Please help!

Me too! In my blog I use URL link instead. I post in another blog and the copy url picture and past in my main blog!

help me too! -
The “insert image” button is in the line of grey icons in the post or page editor and is above the main editor icons. The first one on the left is the “insert image” icon. From there you can upload and insert an image, select an image from the media library (click on the tab at the to of the insert image window) or insert an image from a URL (again, click on the tab at the to of the insert image window). The media libary link in the left hand navigation sidebar on the dashboard is not for inserting images into posts or pages. It is for admin functions for uploaded media files (delete, edit, etc.).

@anontanan, Since your blog is self-hosted you need to inquire over at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ since that is where the self-hosted wordpress blogs are supported. This forum is for those hosted at the wordpress.COM free hosting service and stuff here works differently.

@anontanan, you also need to take a serious look at things on the site your gave the link to. It is seriously screwed up and will not even load. W3C refuses to even validate it: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Ftl-school.com%2F&charset=(detect+automatically)&doctype=Inline&group=0
The message was: “Sorry, I am unable to validate this document because on line 781 it contained one or more bytes that I cannot interpret as utf-8 (in other words, the bytes found are not valid values in the specified Character Encoding). Please check both the content of the file and the character encoding indication.
The error was: utf8 “xC2″ does not map to Unicode”

Thanks for your answer, thesacredpath! Sorry, I was such a newbie… But now I’m a PRO! (lol)
New question: I’ve got an amount of pictures in my media library. I write my blogs, attach som pictures and upload the article. But suddenly I’ve experienced some problems. My library shows that ALL my pictures are attached to articles, even if they are NOT. And if I focus on an article that I know has only ONE picture, it seems thay quite a number of different pictures are attached to that article. Choosing ‘Unattached’ gived of course no pictures. How come? I discovered the problem when one of my pictures seemed to be missing when I clicked on its thumbnail. But it really is inside the media library. Just attached to another article. When I click on that article, the lost picture isn’t there. (And it shouldn’t either) Bug???
Next question: When I write an article and attach , let’s say, three pictures, why is it that the ‘<a href=’ is only used in front of the first picture, so that clicking on the second and the third picture give me the same result as when I click on the first? (I’ve fixed it manually on some of the latest articles, but not on the rest) Bug???
Thanks in advance, and please don’t comment my english…
