Pictures

Hello!
I started the blog when my Round-The-World trip started and I got the habit and everything was fine untilo one day I realised I was about to run out of free space on the account because I was uploading all pictures in it’s original format which sometimes is quite big as I shoot with a big amera sometimes.
So my question is: could you please help me decide what method is best now to have more space?
I know the obvious is to pay for the Premium but the trip is already finsihed and I would just like to keep it as a travel journal to look back to when my daily life gets too overwelming and for friends and family to see.
So.. now all my picturs are linked to its post, how can I upload a smaller version of the picture without loosing that link? Or I have to start from scratch?
Is there any other way to be able to change the size of the picture in the post?
Many many thanks in advance.
Kind regards, VickyThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please see https://en.support.wordpress.com/space-upgrade/
All WordPress.com blogs come with 3000 megabytes (~3 GBs) of space for storing uploaded files and images. If you need more space you can purchase the Premium plan which will give you an additional 10 gigabytes of storage space, and allow you to upload audio files. The Business plan includes infinite storage.So.. now all my picturs are linked to its post, how can I upload a smaller version of the picture without loosing that link? Don’t do that! Images you upload into your media library and embed into posts and pages are on wordpress.COM servers. They remain visible unless or until you delete them from your media library. Doing that removes them from every place you embedded them in the blog and leaves behind broken links.Images you link to on other sites are not on wordpress.com servers, and can disappear if they are removed at the source from the servers they are on. Yes, the quickest way is to upgrade but that costa money and in the long run I will not have enough space again.
So.. if I really just want smaller pics you mean I should start from scratch?
Go picture by picture, delete it, upload a smaller version of that pic and upload it and link it to each post again? No other eay around?
