Pictures affecting text placement

  Hi, I am having problems after inserting pictures in my post. After publishing, the text after the pictures either appear at the side of the picture, or there will be a lot of empty space between the picture and the accompanying text. Everything looks fine and normal when I am editing, but it always goes haywire when I publish/preview. Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong?

  Managed to solve this using html, it is a bit tedious though.
