Pictures allways disappear after insert into article

Hi, I started to use the new editor, and there is a big problem. Everytime I insert a picture from my picture files or upload a picture to be inserted in an article, it always disappear and a broken image on the left top corner will show up. I tried so many ways to insert pictures but nothing works. Please tell me what to do with it. I am using firefox browser. Is it why this happened? Thank you.

Hi there, is this for perchuk.wordpress.com using the Imbalance2 theme (which is now a retired theme)?
Are you inserting the image as a Featured image or inserting the image in the post itself?

Yes, I am using Imbalance 2, and I iserted image in the post itself.
Does that mean I have to use a new template?

Unless something has changed on Imbalance2, there shouldn’t be a reason the image won’t appear if you set it as the Featured Image rather than simply inserting it in the post. https://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/
Can you give that a try and let us know how it goes?
Another option is to switch to Rebalance, the updated version of Imbalance2

Featured image to every post has always worked with new editor, but I’ve tried again with insert image in the post and it still doesn’t work.
I think I have no choice but to change to Rebalance.
It’s a pity that Imbalance2 does not work because it suits my content oh so well!Thank you for your valuable advice, and Marry Christmas to you!

I think I figured out what’s wrong.
I changed to Rebalance and still can not insert pictures. Then I found out that pictures can not be inserted are with some Chiense charaters in the title. I changed them all and now it works.
The only problem is……..Imbalance2 is no longer there for me to switch back…..sad….

You should be able to return to your earlier theme by adding this to your site address: /wp-admin/themes.php?theme=pub/imbalance2

You can add “/wp-admin/themes.php?theme=pub/imbalance2” after your blog URL. Like this:
perchuk.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php?theme=pub/imbalance2

@perchuk I hope you were able to recover your Imbalance2 theme by adding your site address to the addition that @themagicrobot provided. So https://perchuk.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php?search=imbalance2I’m going to go ahead and tag this thread for Staff attention to the issue you mentioned originally, which was the first inserted image in your post not appearing as your featured image in that theme. Thanks for your patience while they get back to you.
