Pictures Broken, Blog Does Not Exist and I cannot re-register

    Hi!

I’ve managed to run into a particularly bothersome chain of issues, and I don’t know how to fix it.
I’ve recently started up my blog via wordpress.com under the url ruinedbeauty.wordpress.com, changed it to ladyreka.wordpress.com,and published my first post without any issue, with working images and everything.
Then I went on to write my second post and once I was done with the writing bit, i went on to uploading images for it. However, for some reason, the images were always appearing as broken, in the media library, in the editor and in the published post alike. I re-downloaded them, re-uploaded them, tried other images and other PCs to no avail.
Soon afterwards I kept getting a message when trying to visit my blog that it doesn’t exist.
After some digging, I found others with similar issues ( since April 27th), and tried out the first URL with which I created the blog. I managed to reach the blog with it, however whenever I try to upload media, it uploads to an URL linked with ‘ladyreka’ (the second one) instead of ‘ruinedbeauty’. Thing is, for some reason ‘ladyreka’ doesn’t seem to exist any more.
I have no idea how this happened and what to do. I’ve tried to start a new blog entirely, and just not change the URL ever, but I can’t register as ladyreka.
It doesn’t exist but it’s reserved? The images upload to a nonexistent URL? How can this even happen?

Thanks for any help in advance!

  • Hey there, You’re right – this is a known issue and I have reported it internally. I’ll let you know in this thread once the issue has been resolved. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks!
