Pictures deleted

Hi, suddenly my blog pictures has been deleted by wordpress. What has happened? I didn’t do anything, so it must have been something caused by wordpress.com. Please assist with backup rollback or something. Thanks.

Hi, thanks a lot for your reply. I have not deleted my images from my posts, however I did remove/delete images from the library. I did so to make it more tidy, I was not going to use them again in the blog anyway. I dont know if there is a connection, but is there any way to restore the posts, or do I have to redo it all manualy? Please advise!

Hi there,
When you delete the images from your library, the images from your posts are linked to the images in your library – so they that is why they disappeared. You’ll need to reupload the pictures for them to display again properly in your post.

Unfortunately, not in this situation. The best bet is to re-upload the pictures to your site. Do you happen to still have those pictures available on your computer?

Hi again! I need some more help, I have started to re- upload the picktures and get them back on my posts. The problem now is that the background color that previously was automaticly fitted to match the colors in the photos now is gone. The background color is now the same blueish on all posts. I tried to make a new post, which I did not post yet, but in the preview it had no color either… How can I get the color back?

Hi, I tryed, but the only thing that changed color was the background behind the postpage. If you look at the post “frog fun” the last and only one that I did not delete, the post itself has a green color background behind the images/text. This color is what previously automatic would adjust to match the colors in the images I posted. The color behind the post which you refer to, is the same for all posts, that is ok though, but unfortually not what I meant.
Got any other sugestions please?

Hey there,
We have had this issue in the past and it might have resurfaced. The difficult thing is that this theme is retired, meaning it is no longer available for users unless you currently have it activated – so there’s not as much information for it anymore. So, I’ll ask our staff internally to see if we can get a fix.
In the meantime, I checked your site and some of the backgrounds are still corresponding to your image. Also, not all of the backgrounds are grey, but you are still uploading pictures. I’m wondering if this is only affecting old posts or if it is also affecting posts that are newly created. Let me know if you create a new post and whether things work properly then.

Hi, I see , but I would really appreciate it if it was possible in any way to find a fix for it, probably not only me that find this frustrating. As you probably have guessed by now, my computer skills are not the best, so I would be very happy if I didn’t had to make and learn how to operate a new blog.
I do notice that some of my reuploaded posts have got their color back and some not. There is also a problem with the archive as some of the posts do not show there, only an empty box, but you still get to the post if you click the box.
I did post a completely new post today, and the color on that one was missing….
Still hoping to get this fixed:-)

Hi @norunnm, I hope you don’t mind me jumping in to help. I’ve got duotone available on one of my old test sites, so I have something to work with.
I noticed you have a background color set for your site, and Duotone is sticking with that. Can you go to My Site > Customize > Colors and click the “Clear” button for your background color?
It won’t appear to fix it, but when you save your changes, that should do the trick. If not, please do leave the background color cleared, then let us take a look. Thanks!

Can you try posting an image by itself (not in a gallery) and see if that makes a difference?

Hi, yes, it did make a difference. I tried different combination in prewiev (without posting) one small image was ok, two also ok, but three did not work.
also tried another series of images that was bigger, one ok, two didn’t work…
seems like I have a storage problem/ my pc is almost full, am I right?
hopefully the problem is solved, just have to get my husband to fix my pc😀
