Looks like the majority of the images are there. I can see that there are a few missing and they’ve been removed from the site’s media library. The images need to stay in the library in order to continue showing on the front end of the site. Just try re adding those to start and let me know how it goes.

That’s what I did several times, but some pics keep on disappearing.
Do I understand you correctly: Must the pictures at first be uploaded in the library and then added in a post ?
With all the pre Steyr-Puch’s posts I never did this and the pictures of these posts are there…
Sorry for asking all of these Q’s, but I have chosen your platform as the operating of this platform was told to be easy. Besides FB I wanted to have a platform where I can show and sell my work. And in the past WordPress worked OK for me, but now I am a bit lost….. Unfortunately !

Hi there,
Images that you upload in a post or a page are automatically saved in the Media Library and then inserted into the post. Removing an image from a post doesn’t delete it from the Media Library. Doing the opposite removes it from both the Media Library and all the posts.
The purpose of the Media Library is to act as a central storage location for all your images, videos, audio files, etc. This way you’ll be able to use the same image in many posts without having to re-upload it each time.

Thanks for the explanation. Just the way I thought it should work. I just checked the post and fortunately the post looks OK. I’m very glad ! Is it possible that I use an older version of WP or the theme or is the theme obsolete or whatsoever … ?

All sites on WordPress.com are automatically updated to the last version of WordPress. There’s no need to do run any update on your end.
Also, your theme is a few years old, but that doesn’t make obselete.

Hi Pier,
I had a look at the post with the broken images and I can see the link to those images seems to be invalid, it’s a link to an email attachment. Have you added those images straight from your desktop or via URL?
If it’s the latter, try to download the images to your computer first and then add them to your posts, this should help.When you add images via URL, if the address changes or if it’s private, the links will not work and so the images will not display.
