Pictures do not overhang

  Hello,

  I am trying to finish off editing a new post but I am having problems with how the photos show.
  Previously, I enjoyed the effect of overhanging photos as long as they were wider than 1088 px. They don’t expand now and have the standard width of the column. How do I keep my photos overhanging?

  Hi Margarita, I have done some testing and spotted the issue. I’ve reported it to the theme developers. It may be a bit before they’re able to fix it, but when they do we will follow up with you here.

  Hi,

  Thank you for your answer. There seems to be a similar issue with pull quotes – they do not overhang. They are squashed within the width of the regular text column. It doesn’t look good… Could you check this too?

  Hi Margarita,

  While we are unable to confirm any sort of time frame for resolution, you are able to follow along where the issue was reported to the developers in this thread: https://github.com/Automattic/themes/issues/2871

  Alternatively, you could try a different theme if you are looking for a more immediate resolution.

  Hi,

  Thank you for your answer. Changing the theme is the least desirable option… I got used to Resonar and I hadn’t had any issues with it before.

  On the Resonar page it says:

  “On a large monitor, the pull quote overhangs from the main column to maintain the readability of the wrapping text around it.

  Images that are wider than 1088px also overhang from the column. Show off your images without being restricted by the column width!”

  Unfortunately, it does not work like this any more. I was hoping it is a temporary glitch that might be adressed by the wordpress support, but I had reported the issue 18 days ago and nothing has happened so far.

  Therefore my questions are:

  1. Does resonar support the new block editor? If not, please update the information about the theme because it is misleading.

  2. If yes, when will Resonar be functional again, regarding the overhanging images and quotes?

  We still do not have a time frame for this, but we will look into getting that information corrected for now.
