pictures in blog posts

  is there a better/easier way to incorporate pictures and text into a blog post? It has taken me days to sort out the best layout for a post, only for me to resort to keeping the pictures centered and alternate between text and photo. Is this because of the template I’m using (Radcliffe)? thanks
