If I buy the layout, can I keep the pictures that are displayed on the display page right now? Or are they replaced with blank squares?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Thanks for writing us, you’ll have to play with themes and select the themes which best suits your website or blog.
Every theme has different layouts, you can check that by going to
My Sites———> Themes ——-> Customize—> and check if the theme supports different layouts. There’s something called “Widgets or Sidebars” you can take a look at it here,
https://en.support.wordpress.com/category/widgets-sidebars/Every theme support some widget in the layout just take a look at it.
My Site ——-> Themes——> Customize—->Widgets.Also, try different themes here

See here please https://wordpress.com/theme/independent-publisher-2 for details on how the theme you are using is designed to function. Know that one cannot change the functionality of any theme because we cannot edit the underlying templates shared by all sites wearing the same theme.

If I buy the layout
If you mean the demo pictures that you see on theme demo sites, that content is replaced by the content of your own site, but it would help to know which theme you are referring to.

@yourwpcomcierge
I already identified the theme in use on http://littlepersonbiglife.wordpress.com/ at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/pictures-kept?replies=4#post-3040979See here please https://wordpress.com/theme/independent-publisher-2 for details on how the theme you are using is designed to function. Hi tt, yes, that is the theme currently in use on @littlepersonbiglife site and it is a free theme. Since @littlepersonbiglife mentioned buying the layout, I felt it prudent to ask which theme they meant. Thanks.
-
Hey @littlepersonbiglife,
Are you referring to your current theme or a theme that you are interested in purchasing? If the latter, what is the name of the theme?
-
@littlepersonbiglife, not all images used in the premium theme demos are GPL/public domain, and are only licensed for use on the demo. The following sites are good sources for public domain images that you can take a look at to see if there are some that would work for you.

Thanks for adding that @tsp. :)
PS since this has more to do with themes than with CSS Customization, I’ve now moved it to the Themes forum.
