Pictures on the front page in the Opti and Mimbo Pro themes

I am thinking about purchasing either the Opti theme or a Mimbo pro theme. i just want to know one think. Is it possible to disable the pictures in the featured content and the post thumbnails even if my posts contain pictures? I just don’t want the pictures or thumbnails to be visible on the front page. Thanks so much for your answer! Much appreciated!
