Pictures show up too small

When I upload a picture to use in my blog it gets resized to a small picture. I wanted a bigger picture to show on my blog. How can I get the blog to post pictures bigger?

No.
When you insert an image, you have the option of inserting it as a thumbnail, medium, or full-sized (which is actually sized for the maximum width of the post area on the theme you are using).
When you are in the insert image window, simply select the image size you want to insert before inserting it into the post.

Is there way to have the image sized somewhere between medium and full-sized? Full-sized, the images are so large that nothing else can be seen on the screen at the same time as the image. Medium sized images are still rather small.

Go to settings > media and put in settings for “large” that is somewhere between medium and full-sized. The “full-sized” image for Kubrick is 450, so perhaps put in 375 for both height and width as a starter and then adjust from there.

OK I got the picture size settled. I have a new issue. When visiting the site some pics will not show.

All the images load for me, but with so many images in the latest post, I would suggest putting a more tag in it to split it up and not show the entire post on the front page of the blog. People can then click the “read more” link to see the rest of the post.

how can i insert thumbnail sized pics on a specific “photos” page and allow visitors to click them to expand?

When inserting them in the “add an image” window, before inserting them into the post, click the “file URL” button and then insert them into the post.
