pictures showing up on gallery that i don't want

  I have five pictures I’m trying to get into a post. in the theme i’m using, its VERY difficult to arrange pictures in the exact layout that you want them.

  i’m trying to show three pictures side-by-side and the other two pictures elsewhere in the post. However, it (1) won’t let me place the pictures exactly side-by-side (they are either uneven and when I try to move them to make them parallel, one will vanish OR one will automatically be placed on top of another) or (2) it will let me insert my entire gallery (all 5 pictures) but not just the three pictures that I want.

  Has anybody else run into this problem? Know how to fix it?

  You can use the “exclude” attribute to exclude images from a galley by image attachment ID# as explained in the gallery support document.
