Tell me how to flip upside down or sideways piuctures. Also, solve the problem of the website not responding to format changes, like from slide show to grid format.

Images display as given by your camera’s orientation metadata. If you need to rotate images after you’ve uploaded them, you can do so following this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/images/editing-an-image/
I’m not certain I understand what you mean by the “website not responding”? Did you insert a Gallery as described on this page https://en.support.wordpress.com/gallery/ and switched between the different Gallery styles? If so, you might need to hard refresh the browser tab or window in order to see those changes.
