Pictures uploaded and linked, but white box with “x”
-
I’ve uploaded a photo and it is linked to one of my pages but all that shows is a white box with a red “x” in the upper left-hand corner. Any help?
Here’s the code: <img border=”2″ align=”bottom” width=”400″ src=”http://shespoke.wordpress.com/files/2007/08/stream-in-cuchara.jpg” alt=”The author near her home in southern Colorado” height=”300″ />

Can you give us a link to the post that has this error in it? Try posting it again, this time choosing no link. Then click on the image icon to add in the link. That workaround should help.
The image leads to a 404 for me. Try deleting and re-uploading it and see what happens.

I am a photoblog. In my experience, that white box with red x is usually the result of my having deleted the image that was part of a post/page.
Just a question, why do you link the image to a particular page? A page is just another post, but without a date on it. Whenever I upload images directly into a new post, I don’t link it to any particular page; I just accept the default settings and this seems to place the image where it should be. Try that and see what results. Good luck! ;o}
