picutres permalink is not working

  hi all
  i tried to click on “get shortlink” and then copy the link and tried to paste it in address bar but got message page can not be found

  posts permalink works fine but not pictures. any idea why? thanks

  the picture url is

  and the shortlink is

  i tried different pictures. same thing.

  What is the URL for the actual image, not the attachment, ie the one that ends with .jpg or .png or .gif.

  sorry i did not know that called attachment? i went to media and i saw the picture and click on “Edit” then i saw the permlink above the picture (what is that for?)

  ok i clicked on Edit again and i saw the URL on the left side
  http://lezawang.files.wordpress.com/2012/12/chrysanthemum3.jpg

  i can open that link no problem.

  but i just noticed another thing, when i go to media and when i move the mouse over any picture, i will have these 2 options (edit, trash, view). The “view” option is not working!!
