  • There is not an “image uploader” fuction for the HTML block, so the only way to add images to the HTML of an existing block (or a new one) is to add the correctly formatted image HTML code manually.

Instead you may wish to try adding the image block in your sidebar instead, which will allow you to add the image you need. Then you can add the standard HTML below that in an HTML block.

You are trying to modifiy a specific widget on your site? I see you have quite a few so I’m not sure which one you are working on but we’re happy to take a closer look if you can tell us a bit more about what you are trying to change. Thanks!

“To add the standard html below that in an html block”? what’s the different? I can add like exemple picture widget’s and below adding html block but i don’t know how it will be looking after. My ideea was to make on one widget’s everything. I neked the link of JPG nothing ealse.

  • in the past widgets were limited to a specific list of “widgets” you could add to your site.

Recently though we’ve starting to use blocks (similar to what you use in the block editor for pages and blog posts) to create widgets instead. This means that you may now add any block to your site’s widget areas too, and gives you more flexibility on how you can customize the widget areas of your site.

However, to take advantage of that it’s easier to think of a “widget” as a combination of blocks in any order you wish. For example, a Heading (title) block followed by an image block followed by an HTML block is essentially a “custom widget” created with blocks.

It’s not possible to add images to HTML blocks via a button though. You do need to be able to add it manually as HTML code.

If you know the URL of your image file, you can use this code snippet, replacing the https://sampleURL.com/ part of my example with your image URL instead.

    <img src="https://sampleURL.com/" alt="Click to view image">

And today alsó lonly I set the disappearing sidebar widget’s so for me is not difficult to build html. And to recover, it is posibble to make combain

    Hi there!

I’m not sure I understand what your question was in the last reply. Can you clarify again exactly what you’re trying to do now?

  • Unknown's avatar

Yes, of course. There is widget html and image widget not html. If i wont to build an html block wifh picture, i will need both of them, of the blocks.

But if there is like example image uploader on the block of html i will make my life easer.

I asked if is posibble to change the html block and to put inside “image uploader” or “image url uploader” on the html block. And I am sure that is posibble.

    Thank you.

Image uploader or image URL uploader from the library of WordPress. I know to make it handly without combination.

  • Hello there,

Ok, so are you looking to show an image in a widget or are you looking to display an image uploader, whereby others can upload an image to the site?

    Many thanks.

  • Unknown's avatar

No. evrebody from own library WordPress. But only the staff Who have permission can change the HTML + IMAGE UPLOADER. Anyway one of the Staff member ‘Supernovia’ yesterday changed the appearance “Personalized” and “Parts” or “pieces” because the two for the same task was making BUG. Yesterday i told her exactly what she had to do.

  • Hello there,

Ok, so can you describe what you’re looking to see in a widget in the footer of the website please?

Is there a user on the site who is struggling to upload media to the library?

If yes, what is the username of the user?

    Many thanks.

I am looking to see in the HTML widget “uploader image” from not “to the library” and redirecting to my media from WordPress. I mean this option it will be just for the media from WordPress.

  • Do you mean just the Image Widget? You can upload an image with that and add caption and link as needed.

  • Custom HTML is a bit beyond the scope of support we can offer here.

To add images to your widgets area, we recommend adding an Image Block as a widget: https://wordpress.com/support/widgets/

To work with the Image Block, please see the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/image-block/
