  I want to be able to eliminate the black box that happens in the menu when it is a drop down. I want to keep the black box for hovering and current page.

  Any ideas? I played with it a bit in inspector and got it how I like it but I can’t find what I need to edit to make it permanent.

  I understand the difference…I saw other people talking in this forum about some of the same things…so I posted here. Apparently not all that friendly of a community over here! I’ll take it to .org where I belong.

  We Volunteers are friendly. :) We simply don’t confuse those with free hosted WordPress.com blogs by answering questions or providing assistance with any self hosted installs, as the answers will not be applicable to those with free hosted WordPress.com blogs. WordPress.ORG has Volunteers that answer wordpress.ORG question on their forum. Best wishes for happy blogging on your wordpress.org install. . :)

  @gadietrich25, staff have asked us to point self-hosted wordpress users to the correct forum for them to prevent confusion for those that are hosted here. There are differences between the self-hosted versions of themes and the ones used here. It really is better for everyone if you post in the correct forum.
