pilcrow custom design help needed

  hi,
  when pressrow was discontinued, i switched to pilcrow and set up “most” of my blog – there were a few things i was going to tweak later…

  i created a custom banner, but i remember there was also a way to create custom designs for the “sides” of the blog. i can’t find where to do that. i see where to change the placement of the content and sidebar, but don’t see where to add a custom design – or any design for that matter – down the sides of my blog.

  also – maybe i’m crazy – but it seems like there is MUCH more space on the sides of my blog than there were a few days ago. i haven’t changed anything – any maybe i’m just imagining things, but it sure looks different to me!

  i’d rather have a FULL view of the blog – but i don’t see an option for that – without losing the sidebar, and i think even the “full” option does not fill the screen.

  i’ve searched through help, but can’t find anything on this.

  any help would be appreciated!

  Appearance > background in your dashboard is where you add a background color or image.

  will that place a background on the whole blog – as well as on the sides, or just on the sides? thanks.
