Pilcrow theme plagued with bugs

  My site is http://thriveonnews.com For over 12 months now I have had problems with text disappearing I am told updates were to blame I have had to have a white page instead of brown. My color customization does not work I am told updates are to blame. You cannot see the word press links or pilcrow theme link at the bottom of my site I am Told updates are to blame. I have no color on my share buttons I am told updates are to blame. I have no options no control of the look of my site at all. None of things have been fixed to spite my asking for help on many occasions. I have been forced to make appearance changes because of all this, I am wondering what to do I feel I waist my fees to word press because nothing works. Am I expected to pay for upgrades again that do not work. Not knowing what to do ?

  Hi there,

  I completely understand your frustration. As Sheri explained a few months back in the thread found here, we’re actively adding additional color schemes to current themes. However, it appears as though the color schemes we have added are interfering with the theme causing some unintentional issues.

  Currently, the main workaround is through the Custom Design upgrade.

  I have fixed the site footer and WordPress.com attribution through the following CSS:

  div#site-info {
  color: #000;
  }

  #footer #colophon a {
  color: #000;
  }

  Regarding the coloring of your sharing buttons, currently, you’re using the “Icon + Text” option shown here:

  

  However, if you would like, you can change it to one of the following:

  Icon Only: http://d.pr/i/vw79
  Text Only: http://d.pr/i/sGwg
  Official Button: http://d.pr/i/d52a

  That can be adjusted from your Sharing settings seen here:

  Thank you very much. For the fixes that is great. I do understand, it is just a shame the color is taken out of the share buttons, with icon + text because this is the best display, it shows the number of shares on certain share sites. The white buttons look dreadful. Thanks again for help.

  Hi!

  The new sharing buttons for icon + text was a recently update that we made to align the sharing buttons more with the styling of the Dashboard. However, it looks like you’ve made the change in your Sharing settings to “Official Buttons”, which showcases more of the social media color.
