Pilcrow Tweaks – Noob Disaster Happening
-
Hi All,
I’ve had a stroll round the forum but I think I’m out of my depth!
I need to do two specific things:
Move the title of my site so that it aligns hard left rather than lurking about in the middle somewhere.
Change the color of the widget headings and other headings so they are clearly visible (currently grey on a beige background)
I have also had trouble changing the width of the main column on every page except the home page, for some bizarre reason.
My troubles come from the fact that I’m trying to match the code chunks up with areas visible on the site and in these cases can’t work out which code applies to what!
Any and all help will be gratefully received and I’m sorry to be such a code klutz.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This will re-align your blog title, it looks like you have changed the widget colours already:
h1#site-title {text-align:left; padding-left:10px;} -

Right, last whine before I leave well alone –
I have seen several suggestions on the boards about changing background colours for sites to match the body colour. I am hoping to change my white background to the rosy beige #hex of the body colour. Anyone got a snippet of code that I can cut and paste?
Cheers!

This code will change all of the white area to the colour you specify with the hex code. At the moment it’s matching the body text colour:
body, #container, #wrapper {background:#8B4513!important;} -
