  The pin it button is JavaScript and cannot be used on WordPress.COM hosted blogs. Go to Dashboard > Sharing please and use this guide http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/#customize-your-services to enable a sharing icon so it will display under each post.

  It would be nice if the pin it button allowed you to choose the image from the post. Mine lets me choose from 2 of the 3 pictures on my blog, when I want to use the 3rd. Very frustrating.
