"pinbacks" don't work on my blog (posts not shown in Weekly Photo Challenge)

Hello!
I’ve been posting/contributing to Weekly Photo Challenges for a while now, but recently (for past few months) my posts are not being shown despite attaching “pingbacks” to my posts. I wonder what could be done to resolve this issue. Am I doing something wrong?

Have you ever had the pingbacks work successfully in the past? I gather it may have something to do with your site being self-hosted. I can’t check the backend of your site, but do you have pingbacks enabled?

Hi Darnell,
The problem is that I was able to use pingbacks successfully before. They suddenly stopped working, or they work irregularly. I checked all settings and all seems to be fine and ping backs are activated. Few months ago I have changed a theme and currently have Oxygen theme (pingback are activated in this theme). Do you think it could be in the theme itself?

Okay, thanks for the information. I will dig into this and see if there are others that have encountered the same issue. You mentioned that pingbacks may have worked irregularly? Can you provide a post that did work for you recently, or at least the last post that worked? I would like to take a look. Thanks!

There have been similar reports with ping backs that are failing. I’ve made a note of your account for our developers to take a closer look. Once we have an update we will post a reply here.
