  Pinging is good right?

  I should put it on all of my static pasges as well as posts?

  Nothing is visible on the page right?

  Making a static page doesn’t ping. Only making posts causes Pingomatic to ping. You do not need to do anything: WordPress.com uses Pingomatic to automatically notify search engines that you’ve posted.

  What, exactly, where you thinking of putting on your pages? Even if you want to ping manually, you don’t do it by putting something on your pages and posts. You go to the search engine and you click a button there.

  oh i have no idea what i am doing to be honest! i am only a week into this world of technology!
  someone said i need to ping to be seen on google
  at the moment i am not there – but i thought that is because it take about 4-6 weeks to get on there

  ‘allow pings’ or not
  someone said i need to ping to be seen on google

  You’ve already done way more work on the infrastructure and gotten a lot more information than most people do after a year. At this point, you’re pretty well set up and optimized; the only things I’d suggest you do now are familiarize yourself with GetSocial and then start making blog posts.

  You’re not on google in any significant way because you’re not Posting, you’re making Pages. Start blogging and that’ll change. It’s that simple.

  Yes I have received an incredible amount of help for which I am
  incredibly grateful. A week ago I knew nothing about any of this –
  never heard of URL, RSS, wordpress even! So thank you so much for
  your patience. Will get blogging asap!

  You’re welcome. There’s a certain type of detail-oriented person who concentrates on those kinds of details first, wanting to get them all right before really getting into the blog. It’s a slow way to start, but once you’ve got the info you need, you’re way ahead of other people and will find things paying off very quickly.
